Do you have Ghostscript &/or CUPS installed..? Actually I'm not sure if this is a relevant question, but I believe your issue may be related to bug 19937. The printing packages were amended a few days ago to resolve it. I suspect that Gimp is not in your world file, and is now no longer a dependency of anything in your world file.
