Or you could try (only if using alsa) to modprobe snd-pcm-oss, to give the
alsa mixing a try. It'll behave like any other mixer, letting you use many
processes playing at the same time to your sound card (same as artsd, esd,
etc). I think this feature is not available in all cards, so i wouldn't bet
anything.
