Hi list! If you've used XenServer, you know that to properly manage your guest VMs you need to install Citrix XenTools in the guest VM.
The problem is, the supplied installation script only supports Debian (sarge up to squeeze and sid), Ubuntu (lucid), RHEL/CentOS (4 to 6), and SLES (9 to 11). No support for Gentoo. Christopher Wojno indeed had shared a way to install XenTools in Gentoo in his blog: http://christopher.wojno.com/2009/08/11/gentoo-domu-in-xenserver However, his method is mostly manual, and in addition it installs an initscript that's *not* compatible with OpenRC. Thus, I've cooked up a script to automate the process *and* at the same time create an OpenRC-compatible initscript. Since the script is 334-line long, IMO it's a bit too long to include in the email, so I uploaded it into PasteBin: http://pastebin.com/9w4A5Ad7 Feel free to try it out.
