But is it capable of backing up my windows machines?
At the time when I asked the question I was reading baculas and amandas
documentations and could not decide. Now I am even more confused. :)

I'm currently looking for a good backup service so I could do
centralized backups of all my Windows and Linux clients.
I don't have any tape devices so the backups have to go on a hard drive.
What would you suggest?
I started out with bacula, but as someone else said the disk backup
support is cumbersome. I've since switched to rsync-backup and I love
it. Combined with one of the web interfaces it basically gives you time
machine for your linux boxes....
