Depends on the subject. I don't think it would be wise to give a
step-by-step introduction on how to place your Gentoo system under EVMS'
care without explaining what EVMS is, what it does/allows, how it functions
and how you administer it in case things go wrong.

Same goes for RAID. We can very well hand a software raid installation
instruction manual to our users, but I believe they should be informed about
the advantages and the vices of the system, what RAID levels exist (and when
they are useful) and so on.
