Subject: Addition/Correction: Gentoo Printing Guide

Hi People!

Let me start with a praise of gentoo as it is my choice of linux. I
really like it even though it takes forever to set up a new box.

Now after hours of aimless looking I found that there is something you
really really really (...) need to add to your document at
http://www.gentoo.org/doc/en/printing-howto.xml

It's down where it says "Important: CUPS has a built in configuration
file for the daemon that should, but does not have to, be modified. You
might want to take a gander at it, it is /etc/cups/cupsd.conf."

It would have saved me hours to understand that on my client machine
cupsd needs to run and find the name of the server in the file
/etc/cupsd/client.conf. So I would suggest you change the paragraph to this:

---<suggestion>---

Important: CUPS has a built in configuration file for the daemon that
should, but does not have to, be modified. You might want to take a
gander at it, it is /etc/cups/cupsd.conf.

For those who want to set up clients using the new print server please
look in /etc/cupsd/client.conf on the client machine and point the
ServerName parameter to the network name of the print server

examples: ServerName printserver
          ServerName 192.168.0.2

---</suggestion>---

I am sure this will save a lot of people a lot of time.

Thanx, and keep up the great work, guys!

Alex
