You mentioned that it's only needed ONCE, but it's needed ONCE for everytime one install gentoos, along the same lines as mirrorselect. A couple of years from now, do we want users to have to dig through several dozen old news items to get this tool? I know the ebuild's a bit of extra work but then the python issues can also be properly handled. And bugs can be properly handled, etc etc. -Ben
