Is such a takeover really necessary? If there is no maintainer for app-emulation/qemu and it is broken, lastrite it. That other distros pretend to install qemu while actually installing qemu-kvm doesn't make it the Right Thing™. Best regards, Chí-Thanh Christopher Nguyễn
