There's a "server" profile which could be the answer. I tried using it for a while. Unfortunately, it results in an ewarn log message in /var/log/portage/elog for *EVERY LAST SINGLE BUILD*. I then changed over to starting my USE flag with "-*". If that message could be gotten rid of, so as not to pollute /var/log/portage/elog, it could be useful as a server_or_lightweight_desktop profile. -- Walter Dnes <waltd...@waltdnes.org>
