I assume there is already a policy that devs take responsibility for any
changes they make.. (That fits with "you broke it, you fix it" [or have it
fixed, i guess.;])



In general, while there are a lot of bad things that *can* happen when bumping a package, in most cases they don't. In the cases they do, the dev that bumped should take responsibility.

I believe users will be understanding...ricing does have some risks, after all. :)
