Last rites for dev-java/datavision Last upstream release was 1.0.0 on November 8, 2005. Recent itext updates have caused datavision to fail during compile. I personally am not interested in patching or updating datavision. It's the only package at the moment that breaks with recent itext updated, and does not seem enough to justify slotting itext.
There has been little developer activity, only two devs on project. It seems one is a little active lately, but not much. The news on the web site has not been updated since 2004-02-09. The package has been masked, and will be moved to Java junkyard overlay after 30 days pass. Unless someone cares about this package, needs it, uses it, and/or is willing to patch/updated it. -- William L. Thomson Jr. Gentoo/Java
