Actually, as of 2.10, gtk+ CAN be built without X and using the framebuffer, so you can build gtk+ apps against the framebuffer (using them, is another story... although I hear GIMP works) so having it there isn't necessarily useless. -- gentoo-dev@gentoo.org mailing list
