Hello, Some of you may have already noticed an influx of new CMake related QA warnings, referencing separate bug trackers:
QA Notice: Compatibility with CMake < 3.10 will be removed in a future release.[1] QA Notice: Compatibility w/ CMake < 3.16 will be removed in future ECM release.[2] As the tone of these warnings suggests, there is no immediate need to drop everything and rush to fixes. Packages with such warnings build fine against CMake 4.1.2 which is currently being stabilised. This is something to perhaps tackle on the next version bump, or when you are looking into some other bugfix anyway. Or for a rainy Sunday afternoon. *When* you attempt to fix these, please take a look at the respective tracker bugs which contain more information and links to upstream documentation. There is no public timeline for when these warnings will become errors. But that doesn't mean it couldn't happen in a couple of months already, either. Best regards Andreas [1] https://bugs.gentoo.org/964405 [2] https://bugs.gentoo.org/964407
