Hello! I must confess that I don't have enough free time and energy to maintain the Gentoo media-gfx/gimp package. The last year I was not able to react quick enough for its issues and to report about issues to upstream too. So I decide to remove myself from gimp maintainer (see PR [1]).
The Gimp 3.0.4 was already released and new developer version 3.1.2 was recently release too. The current "stable" Gimp-3 still has problem [2] that prevents package from being rekeywording [3], i.e. problem with building Gimp on musl-based systems. Great thanks to Sam James and to other gentoo developers and gentoo users for help with maintaining the Gimp package and provided patches and fixes for it!
