You may be running a non-genuine copy of Gentoo Linux. Authentic Gentoo Linuxes already had the patch from the point it was unmasked. eras didn't unmask until a patch was available and applied for https://bugs.gentoo.org/954404. Please always use an authorised Gentoo Linux dealer.
