Hello, If the current maintainer does not want to continue maintaining these, and no one else volunteers to, then the overlay will just be removed.
Someone else would need to volunteer to maintain eclipse in a new overlay/repo for updates to happen. Then potentially that new overlay will be integrated into eselect-repository to replace the old one. It doesn't sound like anyone is willing to do the maintenance on it though, so likely the overlay will just be deleted.
