Vim users, please give vim-6.4_beta a go. Vim 6.4 will be released in a
week or so, and it's likely going to be the last 6.x branch release.
It'd be nice to get any bugs ironed out before then... It's just vim
6.3.90 with an updated runtime snapshot and a broken Makefile.

Feature requests for the 6.x branch are almost certainly going to be
rejected. The 7.x branch is where all the real development is occurring
now.

Once 6.4 is out, I'd appreciate it if arch teams could get it stabled
reasonably quickly so that 6.3 can be removed from the tree.

Explanation of why there's a vim 6.4 despite 6.3 being 'the last 6.x
branch release':

Of course, it's entirely possible that a year from now I'll be saying
the same about vim 6.5, and that the "changes required before a vim7
release" list will still be scarily big...
