Hi Thomas, I run KDE myself as well, it only requires you to compile and install gnome libraries as well. But I believe that mplayer itself also requires these libraries? So you might have them already installed.. If you do: $ emerge --pretend gecko-mediaplayer You'll get a list of packages that will be compiled when you install gecko mediaplayer. HTH, Martin
