Hi,

I've been looking at incubator mail list activity from 2015 to 2025 and found
some patterns that could help mentors, PPMCs, and the IPMC.

1. Release cadence has improved
Podlings are now releasing more often, and teh first release is sooner than in
past years.

2. Release success has improved
Since 2020, there have been far fewer repeated attempts to release the same
version.

3. Silence plus no releases in the first year is the strongest risk signal
Podlings that release early usually move forward. Those who stay quiet and
don't release are much more likely to retire.

4. Governance load follows podling population
Traffic rises and falls with the total number of podlings.

5. There is an effective upper limit on predictable behaviour
Vote latency is fastest and most stable when podlings are in the low 40s. Above
about 50 active podlings, vote durations become more variable, and the system
appears more strained.

Justin
