Hi,

A couple of new pages have been added to the Incubator Wiki to help both
prospective and current podlings.

New content
- Joining the Incubator: a short guide that explains what to expect, why you
might want to join (or not), and how the proposal process works [1].
- Common Incubation Paths: an overview of the usual ways projects start and
move through incubation, based on real ASF projects [2].

These resources are still being developed. They are based on real ASF Incubator
history, using mailing list content, project reports, and project data to keep
them practical and useful.
   • IPMC Reflection and Oversight Guide: a learning resource for IPMC members
and mentors, using real case studies to show patterns in oversight, early signs
of strength or risk, and lessons from past podlings. The goal is to help the
IPMC better understand and support community health over time [3].
   • Expanded Incubator Case Studies: a draft set of anonymised case studies
based on verified ASF public data, reports, and mailing list content. These
highlight common patterns in incubation, like community growth, independence,
longer incubation periods, and global teamwork [4].
   • Release Vote Insights: analysis based on ten years of Incubator
release-vote emails, showing trends in the community and process over time [5]

Feedback and improvements are very welcome. In particular, on teh case studies
as theymentiomn real projects, and others may have different perspectives or
insight. Please feel free to comment directly on the wiki or discuss on the list.

Kind Regards,
Justin
