We compared the main difference between Ballista and Blaze:

Ballista is a query execution engine implemented in Rust, and powered by Apache 
DataFusion, designed as an alternative to Spark-SQL.

Blaze is designed to accelerate Apache Spark SQL by providing an alternative 
vectorized execution layer implemented in Rust, enabling native performance 
while maintaining full compatibility with Spark's APIs and ecosystem.

I’m glad to see this project. It sounds exciting and fills an important need in 
the big data community. It would be interesting to see a comparison to Apache 
Ballista.
