No. With all respect for Noel - we have discussed this multiple times now. There is a need for a change because some administrative stuff was delayed. There is a need for a change because on of us demanded it (Bill if I remember right). Why should we wait again and re-discuss everything? There is nothing wrong with doing the election now. I am also not concerned with the candidates having a strong opinion on the incubator. We know the chais alone cannot do a change to the unliking of many. Do you elect Jim to the board each year because he only manages his administrative stuff so well? No, I guess there is more Jim around him why he is elected for so many years now. You really can't ask for a non-political election. Personally I am glad to have learned about what the candidates want to drive forward. It in the nature of human to listen to people with bigger badges more deeply. That being said, please lets fix now two things (finally): the new chair vote (Betrand asked for Noel opening it, has not happened until now) and the voting cycle. Personally speaking I am not willing to discuss the "do we need a new chair" thing again. If we are not able to vote a new chair, what else can we do in the IPMC? > Meanwhile others who wish to drive the incubation process to new > directions, be it inside the Incubator or not, can and should continue > to do so.
