Actually some of us at ConCom are already deep into discussion about what meetings would best support better understanding between parties.
As an Apache member, I'm normally quite willing to see email thrash eventually work itself out...but this news has caused so much concern (and circular conversation) that its probably better to start meeting face to face as possible. I would help run these meeting(s) if asked. It wouldn't be the first time I've helped work through issues for the OOo community.
