<IBM-Hat>I can say that we're not currently doing OpenSocial in Symphony
desktop, though it considered by us to be a strategic standard. We've
done some conceptional work on how OpenSocial could be used in the context
of editors. There are some very cool things that could be done in this
area.

My main point in terms of the Apache OpenOffice proposal is that OOo
currently has its own extensibility mechanism, but it has a steeper
learning curve.. It is beneficial if it could be extended in a
standards-based way, since that enables greater reuse, obviously reuse of
existing OpenSocial gadgets, but also greater reuse of domain knowledge
and skills that the developer has. In other words, extensibility is
good, but standards-based extensibility is golden.
