A typical NOTICE document at a minimum includes a copyright and attribution statement for The Apache Software Foundation. Nothing else belongs in the NOTICE document." Joe obviously agrees :) The important new (to me) bit is "Nothing else belongs in the NOTICE document". Someone want to explain me the background for that? >From my perspective, I've always thought it nice/polite/good karma to acknowledge significant giants on whose shoulders you are standing.
