For additional background on the name, we went through a few iterations already on the Jackrabbit dev@ list: 1) Apache CMIS (the name is already used for the standard) 2) Apache CloudMist ("mist" has a negative meaning in German) 3) Apache Camaïeu (hard to pronounce and spell for many of us) 4) Apache Chemistry So far everyone has liked the last name, though your point about potential confusion is valid.
