chance of seeing your full command shell output to see exactly how you
are running this?
I'm just CD-ing into the root dir, and running "bin\activemq"
And this was a compeletely clean unpack & run right

- you didn't kill it on startup or anything? Nothing dodgy on your
CLASSPATH etc?
Just wondering how to reproduce...
Lessee... I'm on WinXP (sob...) and this happened both from the cmd.exe
and cygwin.
CLASSPATH=C:\Program Files\Java\j2re1.4.2_10\lib\ext\QTJava.zip
C:\Documents and Settings\gmagnuss>java -version
