I've created a branch [1] for the Incubator website, a rendered version of which is visible here [2], with the following modifications:
a - the _source_ files are in plain HTML.
Forrest is still able to render them as usual and the results are almost identical to the "original" xml version [3]. This makes it much easier for anyone to contribute (it even accepts bad html that some editors do, as it cleans it with jtidy).
Example: _source_ http://svn.apache.org/viewcvs.cgi/*checkout*/incubator/public/branches/move2html4forrest/site-author/index.html _rendered_ http://cvs.apache.org/~nicolaken/whiteboard/incubator-html/site-publish/
b - the group logo on the left now shows "The Apache Software Foundation", which is actually our group, and is compressed in size.
c - the site is rendered using the new Forrest skin called "pelt" that is basically V2 of the previous one. It uses CSS extensively and has extra controls for font size. The color scheme can be changed by setting the colors in skinconf.xml if needed.
d - the projects/projectxxx.cwiki files have not been changed /but/ I have added an html version of them in the projects/TEMP_HTML directory [4], so that the editors of these files can check it and substitute it at the next edit.
Comments?

[3] Note, warning and fixme sections are not rendered from html ATM; I changed them by hand into normal sections. Also the authors are not displayed yet, but they are still present in the sources.
