Hi Jiwon,

when the memory is in stand-by and ...
1) all memory banks are precharged the memory draws a precharge background current IDD2n. This static power component is called precharge background power. 2) at least one bank is active, the memory consumes an active background current IDD3n. This static power component is the active background power.

I hope it helps.

Best Regards,
Éder

Hi,

I am looking into the stats from drampower, and I am confused on what "activation background energy" and "precharge background energy" stats refer to. Are these simply leakage energy? Why is there a distinction between "activation" background energy and "precharge" background energy?

Thanks,
Jiwon
