Custom proj5-style pipelines are supported in GRASS 7.6, not yet released. GRASS uses GDAL + PROJ for reprojection, and any testing on this new feature would help those projects. In GRASS 7.6, you can define custom proj5-pipelines with r.proj pipeline=... Markus M
