Hi all,
I appear to have come accross issue 1688 [0] with GDAL 2.2.3 (installed from
ubuntu-gis). I am warpping a 70 MB tif file into another CRS and the resulting
tif occupies 850 MB. If instead I perform the warpping without compression and
compress à posteriori with gdal_translate the resulting tif takes only 50 MB.
Having to do this operation in two steps does no bother me, however, the
intermediate uncompressed tif is really large: 20 GB; this could become a
problem.
Was issue 1688 fully fixed? Or are these results expected?
