I just quickly applied the commands from run.log with latest trunk/ 2.2beta and : - gdal_translate -b 1 -b 2 -b 3 -b 4 -srcwin 0 0 900 900 org- m_3311814_nw_11_1_20140513.tif src-m_3311814_nw_11_1_20140513.tif does not change the color interpretation to alpha. This is something I remember having fixed in 2.2 - I don't get the "JPEGLib:Premature end of JPEG file" warnings. My GDAL build is with internal libjpeg (-6b), in case that makes a difference.
