Hi, GDAL 1.11.1 has been released 4 months ago and since then 48 new bug fixes (*) have been done in the 1.11 branch, so it might be worth procuding a new release.
What about cutting a RC in 2 weeks ? That should give time to people having things in standby to review and act on them, but if you need more time, just tell. I can take care of the release process if nobody else volunteers.
