When we use Gdal_merge.py to merge GeoTIFF tiles that have been warped using gdalwarp, we find that the resulting GeoTIFFs have gaps, although the positions within the images are correct.
Importing the unmerged GeoTIFF tiles into a GIS application does not show the problem. I have samples that show the problem.
