I have a general question (and I don't know where else to ask, sorry if this is
off-topic)
Can I assume that in practice the transformations from PCS to raster space are
lineal?
That is, cropping a TIFF given 4 lat/lon corners amount to *simply* mapping the
corners to (x,y) pairs?
IIUC this is not neccesarily true in terms of the GEOTIFF spec, but how is it in
practice?
