The latest version of GdalGrid (in FWTools) seems to not use the radius values properly for the Nearest algorithm. In my project, I used 4000 for both but I ended up with very little circles around the data points. Using the same radius values for the Inverse Distance algorithm produced values for the entire display (which is what I would expect because my entire project is 4000x4000).
