I would like to propose myself as the RL78 GCC port maintainer. The RL78 GCC port is currently being reviewed, and the corresponding binutils port has been accepted. In addition to being the primary author of this port, I also have RL78 hardware to test against and an extensive history with Renesas parts in general.
