This is one of the most reported problems over the last decade, see bugzilla. > I don't see a -liconv there and that would be a problem. Presumably because the configure test passed without it. > Did I miss something here ? This usually means that the libiconv installation is botched, e.g. the compiler sees a mix of GNU libiconv and Solaris libiconv, or something like that. -- Eric Botcazou
