http://www.gnu.org/software/gcc/ and the links there should be okay
again now.

As I had figured, someone had implemented the equivalent of
  sed -e 's#gcc.gnu.org#www.gnu.org/software/gcc#g'
on www.gnu.org which broke those links to contents that is only
available on gcc.gnu.org itself such as the mailing list archives
or those that you found.
