Generic a.out is for bare-metal embedded boards without an operating system or with an RTOS with no specific GCC port and is obsoleted by generic ELF. An OS/2 port would have its own target, i?86-*-os2 or similar, and so would be unaffected by this deprecation. -- Joseph S. Myers jos...@codesourcery.com
