Hi. I just built GCC-4.1.1 (successfully).
My System: uname -a
Linux opus 2.6.17-rc5-git4 #1 PREEMPT Sat May 27 22:55:47 MDT 2006 i686
GNU/Linux
The build line:
gcc -v
Using built-in specs.
Target: i686-pc-linux-gnu
Configured with: ../gcc-4.1.1/configure --enable-shared --enable-threads
--enable-checking=gc --prefix=/usr/lib
Thread model: posix
gcc version 4.1.1
My System:Debian Etch (Wilder than Woody, but not as crazy as Sid).
I built the kernel with GCC-4.1.1 (and am using it as I type this to you).
