A German colleague of mine once got into trouble because, though his English was otherwise quite fluent, he thought that "You must not ..." meant "Du musst nicht ...", and then did something he'd been ordered not to do. Warning, Germans: "you must not" does not mean "not(you must)". Oh, and you French folks: careful about making "demands" :-)
