Hi, I've successfully built gcc 3.4.4 on Tru64 5.1B alphaev56-dec-osf5.1 which is not currently on your build page. http://gcc.gnu.org/gcc-3.4/buildstat.html
Sorry - no test results, but I have since used it to build cvsnt 2.5.03.2214 and it all seems to work... * Output from running srcdir/config.guess. Do not send that file itself, just the one-line output from running it. alphaev56-dec-osf5.1 * The output of `gcc -v' for your newly installed gcc. This tells us which version of GCC you built and the options you passed to configure. Reading specs from /home/gonzales/gcc344/lib/gcc/alphaev56-dec-osf5.1/3.4.4/specs Configured with: ./configure --enable-languages=c,c++,f77 --disable-libada --enable-nls --with-included-gettext --enable-shared --enable-threads --with-local-prefix=/home/gonzales/gcc344 --prefix=/home/gonzales/gcc344 Thread model: posix gcc version 3.4.4 * Whether you enabled all languages or a subset of them. If you used a full distribution then this information is part of the configure options in the output of `gcc -v', but if you downloaded the “core” compiler plus additional front ends then it isn't apparent which ones you built unless you tell us about it. languages=c,c++,f77 * For other systems, you can include similar information if you think it is relevant. output of "uname -a" OSF1 quasartest.hidden.hid.hi V5.1 2650 alpha alpha ie: Compaq Tru64 UNIX V5.1B (Rev. 2650) * Any other information that you think would be useful to people building GCC on the same configuration. The new entry in the build status list will include a link to the archived copy of your message. Any attempt to build ada/libada failed, so I resorted to just building c,c++,f77. Here is the exact commands I executed. gcc 3.3.2 was already installed on the system. *********************************************************************** cd /home/gonzales/gnupro rm -r gcc-3.4.4 tar xf gcc-3.4.4.tar cd /home/gonzales/gnupro/gcc-3.4.4 CCFLAGS=""; export CCFLAGS CFLAGS=""; export CFLAGS CXXFLAGS=""; export CXXFLAGS FFLAGS=""; export FFLAGS ./configure --enable-languages=c,c++,f77 --disable-libada --enable-nls --with-included-gettext --enable-shared --enable-threads --with-local-prefix=/home/gonzales/gcc344 --prefix=/home/gonzales/gcc344 gmake CFLAGS='-O' LIBCFLAGS='-g -O2' LIBCXXFLAGS='-g -O2 -fno-implicit-templates' bootstrap gmake install *********************************************************************** Regards, Arthur
