Hmm, does that mean that I would have to reconfigure GCC if I wanted
to do "make bootstrap-lean" after a previous configuration and build?

I think the answer must be "no", but I'm not sure.

I've not been able to find another way to rebuild (on SuSE 9.2, for example) after applying the weekly patch file. I'm hoping that suggestion works.
