For the benefit of the doubt, removing those left overs is not any statement on a future switch. Martin has done a lot of work on the move towards Sphinx and helped improve Sphinx on the way, and I hope this will make it easier for someone else stepping up - moving to Sphinx or otherwise. Gerald
