Not to beat a dead horse, but this was all decided two weeks ago between DJ as the libiberty/configury maintainer and Danny Smith and I as the windows maintainers. So, I would submit that the right people had already made the decision. I wouldn't have volunteered to make a change to libiberty without DJ's blessing of the idea. I'm building a compiler now to check out my changes. cgf
