FWIW, I just went and switched [1] the next-generation GCC packaging
(that motivated this) in Nixpkgs over to the landed versions of these
patches. It feels very nice to see more and more of the patches in there
upstream!
I've been reviewer of last resort for a while and I keep patches that
tend to land in areas with minimal reviewer bandwith as they're the ones
most likely to fall through the cracks.
