On Linux I would normally recommend to use /usr/bin/time -f 'real=%e user=%U system=%S share=%P%% maxrss=%M ins=%I outs=%O mfaults=%R waits=%w' instead of plain time. It gives you much more information (especially maxrss and waits), so it's more reliable to tell if you have a memory problem or not. -Andi -- a...@linux.intel.com -- Speaking for myself only
