I would copy and paste it, but I'm not the author of this patch.
The patch would need to be updated for the trunk and go through the
usual testing cycle. If you could do that and post the updated patch,
that would be greatly appreciated. I would claim that the patch in
bugzilla is mostly just copy-paste and moving some things around and
thus would not require DCO sign-off or a copyright assignment.
