Hi Paul, you are right. The patch implements the feature of pointer components in derived type coarrays and was motivated by 78781. The "regression" (like so many) is that without the patch the compiler ICEs while it errored before. I have given up to complain everytime when a pr is called a regression instead of a feature request.
